The RIWs are supposed to be rose comb, but I had one stunning rooster with single comb with six points. Talked to the genetic folks and they said that happens from time to time, so he had to go to the freezer. The prettiest roosters I've ever had were a Silver Spangled Hamburg / Delaware cross.

Oh not crosses but that's what the combs are supposed to be? I understand now...:gig

My crosses were an accident, or shall we say a really creative cockerel. He was living in the bachelor pad, yet obviously found his way to the girls... :th Imagine my surprise when I started hatching "Pure" Delawares... :rolleyes:
