I have a Fourth of July pipped egg! Very excited to maybe have a little duckling soon.

I think I just saw the other egg internal pip when I checked them when I got home from work.

Hopefully my pipped egg makes it because it pipped upside down on the bottom of the egg, so I turned it so it faces up.

That's exciting..You should get a baby hatching today I bet.....

Oh, and I now have two broodies setting on the eggs. And the second is just plain mean.

I had a mean Broody Hen once. It was her first time setting and she chased me out of the garage....I was scared..

Well... my egg-eaters are back at it! They ate all but one egg under the broody silkie. It is very slightly cracked but not leaking, so I put it in the incubator and we’ll see what happens I guess.

That sucks Kayla.
Egg eating is possibly caused from inadequate diet. Not enough protein in the feed or Coop too brightly lit. Hopefully you can fix them soon..

We may have to resort to welder's gloves to sort out the eggs without X's. The second hen on the nest has quite the peck and is rather aggressive about it.

Well the problem I have with this shelter is it's a convent. So I gave them fertile eggs and try to collect the fresh ones daily.

Oh yes I understand. I always separate my Hens into a Brooder set up.
