Call Ducks or Bantams...Crazy Animals Around the Farm

These SS Pullets are like Vultures and want to eat these little tiny Game Bantam Chicks..
They hover around the pen and peck trying to reach the tiny birds..
I'm thinking a person either has Bantams or standards and not house both together at all...

Oh a happy bit of news. The new babies are doing fantastic out in the Brooder in my garage..

I'm torn because I think I need to get rid of these SS Pullets..
Definitely huge and will only get bigger as they mature..

I used to mix standard and bantam. I will never do it again. They are like difference species. Standards will kill each other under the right conditions. Bantams will just squabble. In my experiences they are not compatible long term.

I'm seeing that..I asked my Pal if he wants the Pullets..Im just waiting for a reply. If he doesn't I'll advertise the SS today.

I think you are like me in that you like peace and fairness in a flock. The standards always win in a mixed flock, and their pecks can cause damage to bantams. When my bantams fight it's all noise and is nothing. They also are okay with less space.

I always read others have no problems, but I'm not sure I believe that.

Shorty has decided my glider rocking chair is delicious today.

I advertised them because I definitely need them gone..First come first serve situation......
Then I can let out my little bantams into the flock because they are not too small for them.

Puppies are so much fun Lisa...

I have never had a real fight here with the bantams at all. A bit of noise and maybe a jump or two but nothing I got totally stressed out over. Lisa was the hardest to get into the flock but also is a two year old Hen.

She's so fast too. I have to tie her to something so I can keep an eye on her, or else she's gone.
