My grandmother tells people that she’s a great grandmother because she considers my chicken children as her great grandkids :gig

Yup :frow

So cute! Welcome to the thread!

I kiss my chickens and I’ve never gotten sick. I have bitten my nails for the past 15 years and I have a very strong immune system thank God.

I think I’m as chicken crazy as you are duck crazy! :woot :hugs

Meh...just a new sex link cross created and patented by the hatchery. They’re just trying to cash in on their new find.

I’m not a fan of sex links

You showed cows? That sounds cool!

What she said! :goodpost:

So pretty :love

That’s great! You are a parent in a sense ;)

LoL. Thank goodness you didn’t get 20 inches of snow.
Sorry. I’m just catching up on all my threads.
I’ll be home in 3 days! :wee And I get Wendy and Albastru in 4 days! :wee

:woot:woot good news everywhere~

i've got my duckling under my neck right now. It's playing with the string on my sweatshirt .. i'm running out of 'A's and 'W's from sayou away all the time

Duck eggs are doing good! I candled on Wednesday, and out of 28, only one was infertile! All others showed great development. I had a temperature spike up to 105.6 degrees the other day, but I candled a couple more, and they seem to still be good. :thumbsup I am going to candle again tonight. In an hour it will be day 7. They are still in the carton though. Almost all the AC's have a dip down on either one or both sides. Should I keep going in the cartons? @WVduckchick

Best wishes....

@Ashleymiller, I use paper towels over the wood shavings for the first week or 2. It is so much easier to clean and it keeps the ducklings from eating the bedding. :D
I don't bother after 24 hours...I have never had an issue and have raised over two hundred Ducklings...:frow
