Call Ducks or Bantams...Crazy Animals Around the Farm

Yes I have a good sized garage to work in. My plan will be to set up the kit coop in sections inside the garage and assemble them outside if it’s raining or snowing.
Might be able to put a coat of the water seal on. It dries pretty fast. However, I think it smells a bit, so would need a day to air out imho. But, one lady I follow on here just put up another prefab and said she will water seal once it warms up.

That’s an idea. If I can’t get Wendy and Albastru at least I can water seal the coop the day before and let it air out so that it won’t have any fumes when I put them in it. What brand of wood water sealer do you use? I may just cost the exterior in polyerthane

@MillersFarm
Are you going to ever post those Ducklings?...:pop
:idunno
Cleaning out their brooding box today so expect lots of pictures ;)

It's pretty quiet without @Brahma Chicken5000 chatting me up...:th..I'll have withdrawals by tomorrow..:gig
Hope his flight goes well and he doesn't get lost somewhere..:lau
It always seems a little quiet without him huh @Brahma Chicken5000?

How was the flight?

My Dad just sent me this :th :hitView attachment 1285494
:th

I collected 9 snowy Call and snowy Call/Bantam Appleyard eggs to start...:wee
:woot I still have to go outside and look for eggs.. I'm so cozy though..

No one knows how often I keep saying I'm getting out of Chickens...I keep hatching Chicks under my Hens and keep ordering more..:lau...I'm an admitted Birdaholic...:th
Tsk tsk..

After contemplating things and then realizing, if I get ducks I have to integrate with the chickens if I want them to live harmoniously together.
So of course up late, I google "integrating chickens with ducks". Click on a you tube video which led me to other videos of drakes trying to mate chickens. :barnie
Then of course all night thinking about this. What if it doesn't work out like I had planned it in my mind? Then, what are my options? 2 separate runs and two separate housings?
So, can you tell me or better yet show me what your set up is like with regards to chickens and ducks?
I thought I had it all figured out. :(
I have all my Guineas, Turkeys, ducks, and chickens free range in the same place, All get along. Turkeys mate the turkeys, Ducks mate the ducks, Guineas mate the guineas, and chickens mate the chickens, I've never seen a drake try to mingle with my chickens. My ducks and turkeys sleep in my barn, And my chickens and Guineas have their own coops.

I did not sleep well either. Extra coffee please. :caf
Welcome to the club :highfive: :caf

I just meant, the ones I have found used. Everyone else on byc seems to point you to craigslist when you cannot diy. I'm like I'm not buying someone's junk unless it is pretty close to new.
I understand..My Dog house was brand new because my Dogs would not use it other than hide bones in the straw..:lau..:th
