Removing the eggs from the incubator or taking the lid off for a few minutes each day to mimic a duck getting off her nest. Then I spray the eggs to mimic the duck being wet from her bath. It's supposed to improve hatch rates. Sort of like not using an auto turner...

I like to do it to get an idea of what caused it, so I can see if it was something on my part that could have been corrected. It's not fun though.....

It wasn't much to look at and thankfully it didn't smell. . It looked like maybe the yolk had ruptured? I don't know. It probably died at around day 10 or so.

Oh, many just quit...I hate the ones that pass after lockdown...Don't ever internally pip but we're moving the night before......I puncture the air cell and can't see anything other than they died trying to pass into the air cell and drown...
