The weather is annoying it snowed like 3-4 inches yesterday and now it’s all melting I’m getting the chickens in hopefully an hour

Well we got like 6 inches and nothing is melting yet, so be happy you warmed right back up.

I was right the other day...We got 20 inches of Snow and now it's like Gold to me...I'll post a picture of my white Gold...Lol......

When our water line out to my shed freezes up in the winter because it's not deep enough we also will shovel snow into the stock tank which has a heater. This year our snow kept melting away, and we didn't get much in general, so husband has to haul the house out every few days to fill the tank. So I know snow piles can be a good thing.

Mine in general won't walk in snow without hay on top of it. Mine are spoiled.

One warm sunny days they follow my path only if I toss some scratch and call " chit chit" do they come running!......Alberta Red Neck Chickens....

Can't add too much snow at one time, especially if it pretty cold out as it doesn't melt it down quickly. You're working too hard.
