I did for part of my garden! Just think, you won't have to water them!

@Julie Birb where are you Madame President! Your missing all the fluffy butt pics!!!
Thank you for the tag, Dear. Work's been sooo busy. I'll scroll back and check out the fluffy butts. EEE.

Here are my sleepy little buggers this morning. Chicken chicks get moved to the chickery today! That gives everyone a lot more wiggle room! The Hubbs is building me a new brood box today. It's what I've been asking him to build and threatening to do myself, but now that he has seen it in person he loves it! Silly man! Final count, 2 EE, 1 bantam, 3 quail, 4 yellow golden pheasant, 6 red golden pheasant. View attachment 1410351 yellow golden, 1 week oldView attachment 1410353 this quail chick likes the hidey tube!View attachment 1410354 apparently Titan or Frank got MisTron when the were all out together bc her chick from her blue egg looks like a Chocolate baby.:thView attachment 1410355red golden, 1 day old. This particular one jumped right into my hand when I stuck it in there to see who was skittish and who wasn't. And the posed for the camera! So sorry I left y'all hanging on that! Please forgive. After I posted that my day just spiraled on and on. Just now get to lay down and check on here.

So the vet that go to called me back today after I tried to get in touch yesterday. Looking at my goats I realized that yes, Luna is growing, but no she is not filling out. Someone on BYH mentioned having them tested for G6S which is a genetic mutation found only in Nubians. It causes developmental issues and early deaths! Both parents have to carry the gene for it to come out in the baby, however one parent carrier passes the gene on to its kids. However no gene in the parent(s) means future generations are not carriers as well So contacted the breeder and No, the parents of mine had not been tested. So my vet called and we talked about what I've noticed, behaviors they each have exhibited, etc. There are only two labs in the country that do this test. One is Texas A&M, the other is UC Davis. So not only do we pay for the test itself but also overnight shipping of their blood samples. We also talked feed and she wants me to stop the medicated feed (that a so called "expert" recommended) and instead of free choice actually blending in the minerals since they don't seem to touch it. Also we have to separate. They are close to age where they can procreate and she is NOT ready. Seems like maybe next fall if we can get her back on track. Also have to weigh her feed and make sure SHE is eating it all. When we take them in to have their bloodwork drawn she is also going to do a fecal and exam to rule out parasites or other things. I'm hoping that feeding them separate while we split the pasture and build his mini barn will do the trick and it's not anything else. She is just too skinny for my comfort.

What's it that they say? One step forward, two steps backwards.....

Also, if I could I would take Crazy Alice's chick! Way to freakin adorable!!!!

Also, I can't sleep. My knees are completely swollen. Tripped over my sandal yesterday while running the Hubby's bill pay errands and landed right on them pretty hard. I think I did something bad to my right one....?

Covered in frozen peas and my RLS is killing me!@:barnie
