Well I hope things get better. You've been dealing with animal issues and I've been dealing with human deaths so I understand what you are feeling...
How is everything else going?

I'm thinking I'll give Bonnie my Silkie some eggs to hatch because she is Broody again. I need to collect some first though. Or maybe I could use some from my fridge?

@Brahma Chicken5000 how many eggs should I set under Bonnie? I'm thinking of 6 but I'm not sure I can collect 6.. I pulled 3 from the fridge ....

Are Lisa and Jenny laying? 6 eggs sounds good. Let Bonnie set on some fake eggs or golf balls until you have enough eggs to put under her.

She is laying on nothing and determined to hatch pine shavings.....I'll see what I get today and set her up in the garage again or maybe my empty outside nursery

I don't think Lisa is laying anymore or eating the eggs? I'll go out this morning to check early for eggs..

I'm wondering if I should give this Duck egg that's due and will be alone to Bonnie to hatch? She could raise this Duckling for me so it won't be alone? She definitely is an excellent Momma Hen....Then we all Win...
