Call ducks questions

Hello, I have a few questions about call ducks if you don't mind.
When do drakes get their curl? When do hens start laying? At what age do call ducks start mating? How accurate is voice sexing? I have a three month old drake (I'm pretty sure) but he hasn't developed a curl yet. He whistles most of the time but quacks when he's calling for us. Also, I won't be home for a week next month. Would it be better to bring him along or will he be okay alone? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

get him a friend! i recommend another drake and preferably from a rescue

If you're breeding, get him a few girlfriends his age or older.

If not, get him a similar (weight if not another call) sized drake

Will someone be able to watch him? If not, take him with you.

They need someone that's able to provide feed and fresh clean water everyday. Otherwise yes, if he had a friend or more then you could leave them
