Please accept my sympathy, empathy, whatever you want to call it, support for the pain this situation has brought to you.
I have been burglarized, victimized, and felt that violation, and the embarrassment and sense of shame it brings.
I have lost items in my home in the past to someone breaking in while I was gone, stealing my sons game system, our vcr, etc...in my home, touching our personal things....It is violating, it's awful. And I was questioned...was my door locked, how long was I gone, could it have been someone I knew...hey, I was the freakin' victim here? I didnt steal my stuff, someone else did........
I lost my pets to my own dogs. That too is embarrassing to share. I have been shamed many times for not protecting my flock well enough, from my own dogs, so I'm not sure sometimes that it's easier actually having them taken that way either?
Loss bites, no matter what. And no one should judge you for your loss, you truly are the victim, and I am sorry for your loss, really truly sorry.
I hope no one here is ever so arrogant that they think that it cannot or will not happen to them. As you say, what comes around, goes around.
Take care, there are really wonderful people here on BYC, I have found so many beautiful friends that I never would have if I hadnt joined this group! Its a great place...take the good with the not so good!
