Call Ducks with Big Girls?

I have 5 big girl ducks (no drakes). A local gal is selling call ducks. I am so tempted!

Can I keep the itty bitty calls with my big girls??? And if I were to end up with a call drake, would he be able to mate my big girls?

Yes. I have Indian Runner females and had mallard hens earlier in the spring. The call drakes could mate with the mallards, but not the runners as their bodies are just too big and distorted in shape; it does not stop the drakes from trying though.

Well, there you go. I can give it a go! I have a Runner, a Welshie, a Swediah, a Saxony, and a big ol' Pekin. Let's add a couple of itty bitty calls! Haha!

Ok, I'm all set to get 2 call ducklings if her hatch goes well! I know they are notoriously difficult to hatch, though, so we'll see... Time to work on a bigger pool for them!
