I don't know if ya'll have read this before, and it's a bit odd that this cranky Southern Jew guy would recommend this but. . .

this story has always struck a chord with me.

"The Natural History of Chickens" documentary on PBS covered that story, and I agree it is a good one

That was a really sweet story. I always wondered why being called a chicken was an insult, when they are fantastic creatures!
