Calling all Brinsea Eco 20 Owners

Hiya. I'm currently 2 weeks away from lockdown (or thereabouts). I don't have an hygrometer and the Brinsea manual suggests filling both channels with water. In everyone's experience, is this ok for humidity? I really don't wan't to be losing chicks due to shrink wrap issues. I was considering putting a damp towel in the bottom too but then I've been reading about sticky chicks having just as hard a time as shrink wrapped ones. I was just after a little insight really.

I fill both channels. We are in the middle of a hatch right now and I didn't need to add a damp towel. It might depend on your weather (humidity) in your area. If the air is dry I don't think it would hurt to add a damp towel. After the first chick hatches the humidity in the incubator will jump. Good luck!
