I got three straight run BOs last spring, and three out of three were boys. When hormones hit, two of the three became unmanageable and had to go. Maybe they were related yours? Mean, nasty to me, and one would grab all the treats out of my hand even when I was reaching for one of the girls.

My remaining BO, Darl, is good with the girls. Sometimes I have to tell him that yes, I AM the boss.

I said when I retire and have chickens, if I get a rooster, his name will be Darl. The girls will be Darl's chickens.

Yeah, some people just get those "rare" Buff Orps. Most of them are very friendly!

Here is Lemon. She is the sweetest. Although she has taken to light pecking if I do not offer treats or pick her up quickly enough, we're working on that.
My 6YO daughter carries her around like a baby. She will just stop and wait for you to pick her up. At 20 wks tomorrow no eggs yet, but her comb is bright red and she's been checking out the nest boxes on the regular so hopefully soon! This is her with my son.
