Calling all duck owners ...need answers

@ducks4us i cant thank you and other posters enough. Ive wanted to own ducks for a ling time and dont want to mess this up lol. Ill have to call them tomorrow. So since they got them from a hatchey theres a chance that they could be something comple2completely diffrent then pekin / khaki ?

Also wondering I put the ducks in the bathtub and they pooped all over..shocking...it it safe to say clorox and boiling water will disinfect adequately so the kids can take a bath after I've cleaned it?

Yes they are definatley not pure pekins. And not pure khakis. Most hatcheries have many different breeds.
Examples: our tractor supply store says they only carry pekins, buff orpingtons, and mallards. Maybe rouens too. However i personally have seen many other breeds.
If from a hatchery they are a pure breed.
they look identical to buff orpington ducklings. Goodle buff orpington ducks. They are very pretty.
Now.... if they got from someone else there is a chance they are a mixed breed.

Thank you so much!!! The buff ducks are really pretty!! I dont mind as long as they are fatty. I would like to know the breed for the probability of egg laying ...well see Ill call tomorrow!:)

I'd recommend hot water & white vinegar for cleaning.

I also think the ducks are Buff and younger than 7 weeks.  Congrats & good luck with them!

Yes i also use hot water and vinegar after duckling baths
