calling all duck people! what am i?!

yep, that's a black bibbed, not where near a call duck either. Just a black bibbed . There are black bibbed calls, but they are much much smaller and the bills are tiny compared to this one.
And yep, magpies are pretty much pied all over

yeah that was my first reaction to her bill. i was thinking a mallard x with black swedish? idk feet are jet black. VERY WEIRD but we all know that mallards mate with everything! haha especially in the wild!

Did the car by any chance run over its bill? Kinda looks like it did.

She looks JUST like my black call duck. Except my Black call has a shorter bill.
See!

Being broody... which she does OFTEN! She hatched 3 chickens earlier this year. She's sitting on 11 (Finally) fertile duck eggs now.

"Shoveler." They have an elongated spoon shaped bill, exactly like the photo. If its not purebred, it's in the mix. They breed in your area.

Yes - I'd say that this ducky is definately a domestic duck/Northern Shoveler hybrid. The bill shape is a dead giveaway.
