Not sure if this is the correct place to post this, but I have a problem. This morning I was fishing at my pond in my front yard and I had a bass bite. Unfortunately my bait caster wouldn’t reel so I lost em. So then I was gonna cast again and for some reason, now the thumb clicky button thing wouldn’t press so I couldn’t cast! What in the world!? How do I fix this? Thanks!

Post a pix of the reel you are having trouble with. I have fixed many a reel in my time. You may also be able to fix, if you just take cover off, and see what is going on.

Those have very few parts.. Start taking it apart and take a photo at each step. Oil the pieces as you put it back together, especially the metal rod that the button pushes on. There is a fair chance you will not find anything broken and it will work when you put it back together.

Will do! It’s a pretty cheap reel so that may also be contributing

That’s why I’m waiting to move them outside until they’re 8-12 weeks old...

Unfortunately I have witnessed that a couple years ago. I moved some ducklings outside when they were like 4 weeks old and they were all gone in a week. It was the worst feeling ever

This has been my experience. If we are in the middle of fishing and one starts acting up we dip it in the water and it usually Starts acting right. I do oil it when we get back.
