Water doesn't save, only Jesus. Romans 5:8 says "but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." We are all sinners and no matter what we do we can't get to God by doing good works or just trying to be a good person. Ephesians 2:8-9 says "For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not of your own doing it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast." "For God so loved the world that he gave his only son that whoever believes in him will not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16
If you believe in your heart that Jesus died for YOU on the cross and for your sins, (we all are sinners), that he rose from the grave three days later you will be saved. Romans 10:13, "For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." Christians do baptisms not because they save us, but as a proclamation to the world that we are followers of Christ. That we were once living our lives without Christians, then when your put under the water, that symbolizes the old being put away and being raised to life to walk a new life in Christ. Jesus wants a relationship with you, that's why he created you!

I was home schooled since I was born but I recently started public school. I loved being able to spend all day reading outside and hanging out with my chickens...they were like my only friends.

I don't go to church but I am a Christian and pray and ask forgiveness. What's wonderful about God is as soon as you ask he will forgive (well that just one thing that's wonderful) I know we are all in titled to our own opinions whether that's Christian or not or different beliefs in Christianity. Some Christians believe different things then other Christians. I never had a religion I am non dominion.

i wont bring faith into this thread though becausevdifferent beliefs can cause us to not like eachother.
