Calling all New Brinsea Owners - PRIZES - March Hatch-a-long

Well my first hatch I retrieved some chicks in the humid bathroom because I thought they were too crowded and compromising the remaining eggs. I got an 85% hatch.
My March hatch I left them all in there crowded or not, and got a 100% hatch.

OK. There's room on the other side . Its a chicken thing they like to pile up together.Theirs no way their cold its fricking a hundred in their. Also, the other side has almost hatched every egg but O no they go sit on all the eggs that haven't hatched go figure. I'll teach em I'll leave their fluffy butts in their. I got them to move over. I covered up the side they were all piled up on & put a light at the other end & their now where they need to be. Yea!!

Okay! Got the picture up on FB of my chickies....wish my photo turned out better. I was so tired and this is the best shot so it's the one I'm posting. Put 6 Ameraucana eggs in and hatched 6 chicks. 100% ain't bad for a first time hatcher.

I'm not panicking but need advice. I just went & checked the bator. Let me start over does anyone hear use the Oct 40 DX.I really don't wanna get the IDDY'S out yet but they are now stacked on both sides like cord wood. I'm wondering how the other eggs could possibly hatch. Should I get them out. It seems like after you get them out the hatch stops. But on the other hand will the other eggs if they hatch be OK with that many Iddy's trampling the newly hatched iddy's. I don't want them to die.

I use the octagon 20... I limit opening it to only one time a day and it has to be crowded. I quickly pull them out and sit them on the counter, then give a spritz of warm water inside the bator and close it as quickly as possible. I leave wet chicks in and only pull out dry chicks. Never had a shrink wrapped egg in the Brinsea doing it this way. I open and remove and the rest still hatch. I do try and strategically open... I try and open while none are zipping as that seems most critical. I will open if there are pips, but once they start turning and zipping I keep it closed.

Here is my March hatch a long Brinsea Eco 20 picture. I posted it on Brinsea's facebook page. The first one hatched is patiently waiting on it's sibling to finish hatching. I have 11 more still to hatch, today is day 20.
