I started typing that reply on Friday ... and got distracted and never finished...

guess it was saved and I didn’t notice when I replied earlier today

Been running nonstop since Friday.... well almost none stop ... this is a pic I took yesterday evening as I sat waiting for my wife to fetch me after I ran the tractor out of fuel... sort of a forced beak time

I found some neglected tomato plants on sale at HD and while I was planting them in the right hand raised bed I dug up a thing about the size of my little finger, more fat than long. Brown color and pointy on one end and what looked like a long tube coming out the other end tucked up under it's body. Anyone have a clue what that is? Oh yea it has white and green guts... I accidentally stepped on it.

Got an id on that destructive bugger it's a tobacco hornworm pupa. Come fall the raised beds will get sifted to clean them buggers out and I'll have the last laugh on them.

Black ducks are so hard to photograph!

they have a couple concrete mixing tubs to splash in too. . and I let them out of their enclosure to swim in the fountain pond when I've got time to watch them.
