These holes go deep and I believe are tunnels. The biggest hole opening is about the size of my fist and most of them are about golf ball size or a little bigger. I know we have armadillos in the area because I see them dead on the road about 5 minutes from our house. I have never seen any on our property or our neighbors property. I would think our dog would chase them off. Whatever they are, they need to leave!

It's currently 59 here (feels like 57) and the high today is supposed to be 70. My dog is loving this weather!! She is a black lab. Last night she must have let herself out about 20 times.

I’d say voles also ... but they often seem to go hand in hand with moles in that they use mole tunnels...

I have a fair amount of voles around... I was watching our yard owl hunting for them the other night... I kinda wish she’d clean them out, but then she’d hunt else where so I wouldn’t get to see her

I wish ours made little holes... ours make BIG v-shaped divots!

I missed a huge ‘diller in the yard 3 times last night ... I have a lot of ‘pot holes’ to repair after the recent crop of dillers swarmed us here in the last couple months ...

Those are one of those things I kill indiscriminately and without apology ... along copperheads, brown recluse, mice ... and since our truck fire earlier this year, pack rats are on the list... and I caught one of them in the shed/coop overnight ... I guess I’ll offer it to the ‘owl gods’ tonight...

What kind of baits are you using for furry animals? I have either a mole or a vole that just tears up my grass boxes.

Pack rats I just use grapes, a bit of green pepper, apple peels, just whatever fruit/veggies we have...

Voles, I made some “vole boxes” which were just to cover mouse traps ( with peanut butter) I put them next to the holes, then I placed heavy rocks on the boxes to keep raccoons out... I made a pretty good dent in them a couple years ago... and now just let the owls do the work..

Moles, I’ve used grub treatments and that works to keep the moles away, but I don’t know if that’s healthy if the grass is for chickens?

Never thought of using grapes or apple peel. I do know that cantaloupe guts will catch a ground hog when nothing else will.

I have some rat traps a guy gave me that are similar to live traps and work well. I need to try the grapes, I've been using peanut butter, tin foil and some fluffy stuff you get out of mattresses or such.

We got half inch yesterday.....and it is supposed to rain all day here.

We're hoping to dodge most of it on the way home but need some rain real bad at home.

Almost made it dry, around Dudley it started to rain pretty good, so about 30 miles in the rain ain't bad.
