@SueT are you still seeing that raptor hanging around?

I had about 30-40 turkey vultures in a tree near my bone pile yesterday. I tried to get close to get a photo but they spooked off and turned the sky black as they flew off... I've never seen that many at one time before.

I kept meaning to post these here and forgetting ... here are some pictures of some big birds from last week, feeding on a critter carcass I put out in the woods away from the house

I’m hoping to get some good ones this week with the snow too

Did you sit and wait to get the pictures or did you use a trail cam? They turned out fabulous!

As this is the last icy morning for at least 10 days, I took some pics. It is pretty, but I was singing "let it melt, let it melt, let it melt...."
The last pic is of the formerly invisible cat, now Kippy. He just let me pet him for t he first time 2 days ago! We're making progress. Where he sleeps, or how he keeps warm enough, I don't know. But he seems to be alive and well.

Kippy is pretty and looks like he is suspicious of everything. It takes a while to gain their trust. I found where Woody had her litter of kittens, under some leaves in a depression in the ground. It had just enough twigs laying over the hole to hold the roof of leaves up. It is only about 4" deep.

How long ago did Woody have a litter of kittens?
