My iris tried to come up a week or so ago. That 8 inches of snow and ice turned them around lol.

I have surprise lilies starting up and also noticed irises today. Snow coming tonight. Tomorrow I'll take a pic of them poking thru the snow....

Looks like about 25 days left before planting tomato seeds in the basement... interesting that they germinate better between 70°F and 80°F so gotta keep them warm. Hmm I'll put them in the fermentation chiller with a heater instead of the ice.

On this date last year we probably all remember preparing for the‘Arctic Blast’ that was hitting over night, with lows under 0 and highs under 10...

28 and another inch or so of snow. Not to bad, just enough I had to shovel the sidewalk at work . . . again lol.

They get planted in the fall, still need to dig them buggers up in two raised beds.

ah, in that case I should be safe, since I forgot to plant them then

I did just plant some daffodil bulbs this weekend ... we found them in a bargain bin at Christmas time at a hardware store for nearly free... so I thought I’d take a chance... it’ll be interesting to see if it’s too late or if they just come up later ... I think I did this same experiment last year, but I don’t remember the outcome
