Today I went into the county commission office at the courthouse. I talked w the secretary as the commissioners were not there. She wrote down the info on our road and said she'd get it to the township people. She also said that Fema declared Barton county a disaster area last spring, just because of all the rain and road damage, and that work should finally begin this spring. The yellow caution ribbons we see tied near bad spots were put there recently by Fema, who is footing the bill for road work .
That reminds me of when the staking engineer from Ozark Border Electric COOP staked out the path from the tap box to where the pad mounted transformer would go when I was building my house. After he left I moved the flags to hide the transformer behind some bushes and that's where they put it.
Started out sleeting then changed to rain after an hour or so and has been raining ever since.
Supposed to change to snow around 8 or 9 tonight and then snow until around 4 AM.
Hopefully, the mud will at least freeze!!
