It's pouring here and has been all night. Over 1.5" so far.
Here's a pic of a fairy egg I got yesterday, next to a normal sized from same hen. I haven't opened it yet, I assume it has no yolk.
Didn't someone here say a fairy egg is a good omen?

Well just this past Thur thru Sat, our road was repaired. First they dumped rather large rock all over that badly rutted hill and in a couple other bad spots. We thought that was all we were getting. At that point it was still un-drivable for my little Honda. Then, Sat evening, someone with a small backhoe/loader showed up and spent hours working on it. After dark! Scraping and scraping. We enjoyed our first drive on it yesterday. They even scraped the approach to our mailbox, which was a mess.
But now, all this rain!

I haven't been able to determine how much snow they think we will get here. I have also been worried that we will have a very wet Spring. The last 2 years I tried to get my garden going fairly early, just to have to replant it because so many things died or were stunted due to all the water. Someone on the garden thread mentioned that they plant all their garden plants on mounds that way even if they do get a lot of rain the roots are usually still alright. I may try that this year. Or else just wait until later in Spring to plant.
