calling any one from missouri

This is why Shaw don't drive anywhere. Lol.
I Need an anxiety pill to even look at one of those.

My mom told me back when they first installed it that she saw on the news that diverging diamonds intersections came from France and that Springfield had the first one in the US...

so I keep a beret and a croissant in the glove box for when I have to cross one, then I insult other drivers in French as I do...

I only know a few French words so mostly everyone gets called a ‘lapin’ ... or a ‘sac au lait” which is rabbit or a crappie (fish) ...

In any case, I think of those intersections as little vacations to France 😉

@karenerwin

How close are your meat chickens to being ‘hatchet age’?

they looked pretty tasty in the last pics you posted
The 6 oldest are ready! I just need to find the time. The 16 youngest will be ready in 2 or 3 weeks. At least the biggest of them will be. They have all really started bulking up the last few days!!

Yes it is!

Oh..and I forgot to mention the reason the one bloom was in the fancy trail mix bowl..
Mason picked that for me. 😆

hmmm... Ive not seen it in bloom here yet... I’ll have to watch ...

I did see this volunteer nastrum bloom today... it’s orange so I was pretty thrilled 😉

Friday I was starting to put the rafters on the run.

By the third rafter I knew something was not right... my birds mouth was hanging off too far.

So this is yesterday morning... the only post that was right was the north post. The south post was off by a 4x4... needless to say there was a bit of cussing going on when I figured that out on Friday. Sure glad I screwed everything together.

Ready to start over again this morning.

Oh no! Well it’s always easier the second time around 😉

I did something similar when I built our covered run... I set one post to the wrong side of my string line, so the corner was off 3-1/2 inches... I just left it and made it work... I was building onto a 40 year old shed that has settled and sagged a lot... so 90 degree angles were hard to come by anyway 🙄

then on the other end I called an audible and moved out a foot, because of too much rock to set posts... which later resulted in having to order a few sheets of longer roof metal 🙄

I went with the theory that ‘perfect is the enemy of good enough’ 😉

Wait... one more second...

are you trying to tell us that you have a flower picking hound dog?!
Apparently. I did not witness the picking but my hubby did.
This dog is very observant and notices anything that is new or different.
He said Mason was over there looking at the blooms and then he give them a sniff.. Then before he could say anything he decided to chomp one. 🤣
I told the hubby Mason just wanted to pick a flower for his mama. Lol.
The bloom was just laying there on the ground. He looked awful guilty when I picked it up.:lau
