Today was our dry day. We have rain or thunderstorms predicted for the next 6 days.

We got a light rain too! Not a measurable amount, but more should be on the way. Highs in the 80's predicted for the next 10 days, which is amazing for this time of year. Lows in the 50's and 60's?????? Is this really Missouri?????
Our daughter leaves OR today to drive here in a Uhaul w 2 dogs and a cat. I'm holding my breath till she gets here...maybe Sunday.

We’re more towards KC and right now as I’m sitting on the front porch writing this it is pouring. Winnie the duck is desperately trying to quack so she can warn me she‘s getting wet. It has rained every other day and it’s so wet!

This is Spice the Cinnamon queen pullet a couple of weeks ago. Also isn’t a pullet is a teenager basically and when it lays a egg it becomes a hen? Or am I just confused like usual?

My friend's wife works at our Walmart and he told me the started limiting the number of people at the big Walmart to 500 Sunday.

Officially they become hens and roosters at 1 year old. However you will see the terms applied to young birds quite often. As in 'is my chick a hen or roo?' Some people gently correct them by answering w proper terms. It's all good, we know what they mean.
Pullets do lay pullet eggs......

How many Cinnamon Queens do you have? I have 12 pullets that are 13 weeks old today. They sure grow faster than the Rhode Island Reds or Barred Rocks I've had. I've got one Veronica that her comb and waddles are quite big.

How far did they make it today? I remember the ride from New Orleans to Anchorage and back and that was a long long long dusty ride through Canada.

It's only 5 pm there, but last I heard they were in eastern OR, entering the area of no phone service. I'm thinking they'd make it to Boise tonight.
