calling any one from missouri

ChickenShagg- I am also right along I-70. I will give the weathermen credit- they called it this time. I hear we will get more snow before the weekend is over.

My two younger boys are outside shoveling the chicken run. Older one shoveled a walkway from the house to the pen and other did inside the pen. They had so much energy, they needed some way to burn it off.

We got about 5 inches at my house near Lake Ozark. The kids played outside all say and now will get to tomorrow too because school has been called off. Like someone else said... 4 snow day in 2 weeks... Oh, well. Farmers Almanac says we're sue for heavy snow fall now thru February (mid Feb, I think)... I'm such a bearer of good news aren't I???

We have a 20% chance for more snow tomorrow and 40% for more Sunday.

and its just a little over 2 months to jacobs cave, and a little over a month to yates center. havent been there in a couple years, so i guess i better go again.

I am happy we didnt get as much as everyone else. It looks like we may have gotten 6-7 inches but didn't measure. The girls don't seem to mind and eat the snow off my boots when I go into the hen house.

Thank you Ozark Hen for the kind words. It is very hard when you know that there may have been something you could have done. Oh well.
I have had a lot of dissappointments with my mottled cochins... I dont know why. I have decided to go ahead keep them though.

I have no problems with this much snow. I enjoy the seasons for what they are. A lot of people are talking and wishing for summer but I'm not quite ready for 95 degrees and 90% humidity. We will be through this soon enough. I am planning my garden and wanting to be able to get started but that will all come in due time. In the mean time get ready they are predicting another round of snow this weekend!

misschickenlittle;
I have cousins who live up in KC and she said they had about 8-9 inches but the plows were keeping up with it. Took her a little longer to get home the other day but she made it. Hope your hubby makes it safely and returns to you unharmed but for the training, LOL
