Nor do I.

Sometimes the drake curls molt out and take a while to come back. Sometimes they just don't have one at all.
Best way to tell is by voice.

Strange weather around here lately. And three of my hens are in hard molt. Nothing like missing half of your feathers when it's 15 degrees out.

My chickens are all done molting. And all the ones I currently have molt gradually, no bare spots. You just notice feathers all over the floor and ground.
Finally getting rain here! And above freezing this morning...

Same with the two hens I have you just see some areas with less feathers and the coop is full of feathers each morning as well as feathers all over where they hang out. Mine are mostly done molting too.
