This is bad / sad news. Is it really as bad as they say?

I have no idea. It says Jasper, Newton, MacDonald, and Lawerence counties. We're adjoining Jasper. I'm thinking people who can't sell there, might come north to our swap in Lamar. So I'll avoid it.

The swaps are a strange mix, of interesting lovely birds/animals, and then there are people w crates crammed full of birds in poor condition, roosters stuffed into big bags, etc. The latter are probably not BYC members!

It hit 47 here yesterday but it is struggling to climb above freezing now. After today, the rest of the week looks pretty warm but there is a chance of rain and/or snow mid-week.

Ya know..
I actually think those sacks aren't a bad way to transport the birds just long enough to get where they are going. But what ticks me royally is seeing someone buy the birds, stuff them in a sack and stick them there by their vehicle where they stay for hours until the people are ready to go.

I took my bike out yesterday and in spite of the warm weather there is still too much snow and ide to safely bike. Half my yard is still snow covered and the back half of the driveway is still ice covered. There are piles of snow/ice on the sides of parking lots and driveways making negotiating even sidewalks hazardous.

54 here now. What snow and ice piles that remain at the end of the day should wash away in tomorrow's rain.

Snow and ice is practically gone here. Just trace amounts in my yard and on the sides of the roads, mostly up in the tree line. Still big piles in shopping center parking lots though.
