calling any one from missouri

marebear07 I have a couple of serama boys if you are interested. they both showed at heartland classic and were slightly overweight. As soon as I can find a white girl I would have a serama girl to go with them for you. they are very very sweet, they even let me blowdry them

Hello everyone! Welcome to all the newbies!! I've missed a lot it looks like.

Next week is Jacob's Cave!!! Who's going???

My girls are still not laying... I've had way too much other stuff going on to pull the plug and butcher them. But now someone has me thinking that maybe the roo is too agressive and that's why they stopped? So now I can't decide if I want to just get rid of him or the whole dang flock! What would you all do??? Start with him and see what happens? My 2 Polish that were molting are coming out of it so.... maybe I'll start seeing little white eggs again...

Enjoy this weather while you can all! It might do that four letter "s" word we all love so much this weekend!

Oh, one more thing... Does anyone know of any Boxer pups for sale fairly reasonable?

Hello all

Just wanted to stop by and day Hi. I am from West-Central Missouri and have just gotten into chickens. We currently have 6 sexlinks and i am in the process of building their coop. In addition we live on 5 acres with two labs, two horses and a donkey.

I am planning on Jacob's Cave. I should probably stay home! I don't need anymore. I just ordered another dozen Miller Fleur and Buff barred cochin bantams eggs to hatch!

That may be an idea with the aggressive Roo! I say butcher him! LOL

You may find someone at Jacob's Cave with boxer pups too.

You say you just got into chickens... I remember those days. I started with one duck and 4 chicks! That grew to 50 chickens, 5 peacocks... now geese! LOL

I hope you enjoy chicken feaver!

UNTIL you know for sure the roo is the problem I wouldn't get rid of him. Can you put him in solitaire somewhere by himself away from the girls. When you figure out what the problem is you might find out it was something entirely different and you are without a rooster to protect the girls outside.

To all the newby's here, WELCOME. BYC is a great place to get advice and learn a lot from more seasoned chickener's. I have learned a lot and appreciate everyone being patient and telling me things to try or do that have helped. WELCOME!!!!
