I think that the guy who has JGs was Herman63 in SW MO near Peculiar. I will look for him. I have two (white) from Cackle Hatchery but will be looking for SOP next time I add to my flock. Frank Reese in central KS has JG, at least two colors. I was in contact with a guy from SE Kansas that was driving over to the Reese farm to pick some up.Hey, all my Missouri Chicken Friends!!! So I am on thr lookout for Jersey Giants.. A trio is possible. If you have or know someone... Pm me!!! Please!?!?!
Yes, I am adding another breed, actually 2. DH is grtting involved and inorder to keep him interested... 'Yes, dear. We could get those too...'

Did you try the facebook Mo chicken swap? Maybe someone there has some.Thought I saw someone advertising a few weeks ago.Last night Dh said 'find out what the largest breed of chicken is in the US. That's what I want.'
So google said JG's. Do Austrolops get just as big?
Reese would be a day trip maybe?? Central KS isn't bad... It could be Alaska!![]()
the things we do for our chicken addiction!
HAHAHA...Don't know why but chicken math strike almost everyone who gets a few...! Guess we gotta have our "collections"! Oh and DONT buy an incubator or you will be totally sunk!!Yeah, we want more property sometime in the next couple of years, Dan decided chickens aren't so awful after we got our first 7, and now the math has taken over, along with talks of a roo or two! Now he says nice breeding pens for each breed would be nice, along with a project pen or 2......lol! Roos aren't illegal here, but the neighbors might not like if too many are around, so may keep 1 Am roo if we hatch one, just for the girls.
