Hey, I am looking for a couple Seramas. Do you know where I can get a couple? I hatched 1 out of 12 shipped eggs. I hate having it all alone! Presently living with a Silkie that hatched at the same time.

I have 2 chicks right now I'd sell. I'll check my notes to see when they hatched, they aren't from show quality but very nice. I could send you some photo's if you're interested. PM me with your email address. I live just east of Bolivar. I've been to Nevada a few times to Regional Meetings when I worked with handicapped client's. I work at the hospital in Bolivar and could meet you there with them to save a few miles if interested.

I did get a couple more Serama hens though and sold a couple roosters so I had fun anyway.
I've been online today asking all sorts of questions about the Araucana's I got this week and trying to wrap my brain around the genetics of breeding for specific things like comb, tufts and so on. My brain is tired and I need to see some pictures

ALRIGHTY.... This was a double show so there are 2 placings.

Ambers Chickens

Mrs B. first show she got 1st place, best Variety, best of breed
second show She got 1st place, best of breed, and AOSB won 10 bucks!

Peaches first show she got 1st and Best Variety
second show no place because of color!

Smokey first show she got 1st place, best Variety
second show She got 1st place, best variety

Sophie first show she got 2nd place
second show She got 2nd

barred plymouth rock first show she got 3rd place
second show Reserve variety and 1st place

barred plymouth rock first show she got 2nd place
second show 2nd place

Brown chinese goose she got first show 1st place and reserve champion Light goose
second show 1st place, reserve variety and reserve breed

Embden goose she got 1st place
second show 1st place and best of breed

White plymouth rock hens 2 did not place because it seemed like there were a hundred white plymouth rocks and ours were not wonderful.

Overall she was excited by the activities of the day and towards the end of the day, they had an auction and someone auctioned off two red cochins and Jessica bought them for 5 bucks each. What a buy! then they had a swap going and she bought these guys for 8 bucks total!

What a day!!!

After the show we went back to moms house to load Jessica's truck on the flatbed to take home to be fixed.

Now I am relaxing with my peeps!!!

Looks like you had a wonderful time! I just found out that the main contact person for the Southern Missouri Poultry Club lives in my area. I'll have to get involved with the club. I bet there are some cool breeders in my area that I didn't know about.

Did you see any Sebastopol Geese at the show?
