Here are my raised beds today, the Arkansas Travelers in the left bed are doing the best. I had to transplant the squash twice due to not having the right bed ready and they are not doing so well. Half of the cucumbers are doing well, the other half got transplanted twice and are stunted. Overall I'm happy with what I have so far. The Cherokee Purple and Lunchbox tomatoes in the middle and right bed are from seeds that I started a bit late so they are a few weeks behind the Arkansas Travelers.

looks good! If I had raised beds for tomatoes, they probably wouldn't be suffering as much from too much rain.
I planted some super sweet 100's cherry tomatoes yesterday. This variety is supposed to be more disease resistant than the Sweet 100's I already planted.

What are the symptoms of too much water? My tomatoes in planters on the deck don't look so well and I think they stayed wet too long.

Did you plant them from seeds?

No I bought plants.
The lower leaves look yellow....they look unhappy.
we got another inch of rain today.

Ok that confirms my tomato plants in the pots need better drainage.

Looks like we are up for scattered thunderstorms today and Tuesday - Thursday thunderstorms likely... so much for getting any dirt work done.

Installed some bees yesterday... trying “package bees” again... they’re Missouri bees... but I gotta hunch this year in particular I’m gonna hafta feed em heavy ... we’ll see?

Got one of those ladies buzzing around me on the porch right now...kinda a nice sound when you know her...

Stopped to talk to a neighbor ( anybody from here to town) about bees today .... and three hours later we were caught up on 30 years of visiting... been a while since I’d talked to them... friends of my dad’s...

I was taught if you can talk chickens or dogs with someone in the driveway... they’re likely good people ... guess that works for bees too... we did talk chickens for a good while too though....

Hope you all have had a great holiday weekend so far!
