Well crud! Found out why my GDs were carrying on so last night. Owl(?) killed one of my Narraganset toms.

Have to count beaks and see if anyone else is MIA. Stinks! They roost ON the roof of the coop I built them.
Price they pay to be star gazers I guess - bummer tho.

Oh so sorry to hear that. It stincks to go out and find your birds were taken. That is one the reasons we decided to fork out the extra money to put the wire on the tops of the runs we are building. It stop everything from getting but it will slow them down. We have to start getting runs built this weekend because we now have chicks running around in the sitting room and we are running out of brooders space. LOL! I have to stop going to the swap meets I just can't resist seeing something I want and saying we have time to build it they are just chicks.

When am I going to learn that never works out right.

yeahhhhhhh but you, Nicole and I all have hatches this weekend.
Hard not to be excited about that.
And at least he wasn't my only N Tom.

Yes, hatching this weekend... Getting hatching bator back up to temp tonight so I can lockdown tomorrow. Need to candle again for definite number. I know only 1 Orp made it...

Well come next week-end be loading up again and won't be scrambles by the PO gorillas first.

I've been good. Just a half dozen CCLB coming next week to hit the bator - otherwise wide open.
