Save your $ on the DE - it's useless, don't know why people keep spreading false info on it.

Mirgating waterfowl carry it. Domestic waterfaowl can spread it. Turkeys crash and burn when exposed - chickens are not as susceptible to AI

I use it to help dry things up in the coop. In the summer it seems to help with fly control. I use deep liter method. I also use electric fly trap. That's why I like it

Have you checked out PDZ? DE does have some effectiveness in ground or bedding insect parasite control - bad for bein breathed in tho.

I use it for the same reasons. PDZ works, but doesn't soak up moisture quite as good as the powdered DE. Tractor Supply sometimes carries it in huge bags (that are the cheapest I've seen anywhere in this area). If they don't have it in stock, they can order it. It is the food grade DE. Below is the information.

Just call ahead and see if they have it in stock beforehand, if not save yourself the trip and have them order it for you and hold it in your name when it arrives.

Carol, I like the white kind, not the brown. Natures Pantry used to carry it. I have dogs that bring in fleas when I forget to put repellant on them. The white doesn't make carpet look dirty.

I use chicken manure and shavings in garden. Can I do that with PDZ ?
