Hahaha exactly!! Some of my friends/family members always complain it takes them an hour to get to my house....like....I drive that to go anywhere but Walmart! Bahahaha

We must have the same family...

Mine complained when I only lived an hour away. So I moved 4 hours away from them. Sometimes it's just what works best.

Just wanted to let all ya'll know that the state conservation department offers native seedlings for like 80 cents each, if you are needing some landscaping plants. I'm looking at ordering a lot of foraging plants for my new chicken area.

What kind of plants are you planning to plant for them to forage?

blackberry, black cherry, mulberry, pecan, persimmon, pawpaw are a few of the varieties you can get from the conservation dept. I've also seeded some grass and clover seeds, and am planning on sunflowers, a couple of pole bean teepees, and maybe a few squash lean tos.

We've ordered from them. When I was a little girl we ordered 300 pine trees. Then a few years ago I ordered oaks, pecans & black walnuts (but not any where near 300!). I wish now I had ordered persimmons & some berries as well.

I ordered 20 blackberry bushes from them last year and they're all alive and growing! Should be fruitful next year!!
