calling any one from missouri

They dropped the rain prediction for tomorrow so looks like a few sunny days in a row here.

For a few years we had a whippoorwill that would sit on the handrail outside our bedroom window every morning before dawn, sure glad he moved on...

This “terky bird” has been in the yard the last two mornings... I’m guessing she must have a nest nearby...

I guess I got more than one bit of good news yesterday. (The first I thought of was that our son was finally able to register the car DH drove out to him in OR last month--- there had been complications in emissions testing because wires chewed by mice etc.)
But I just remembered there was more good news, our broody was off her nest for a short break so I candled her eggs for the first time and they are all developing! We're on day 9. I have joined a hatch-a-long for the first time!

Twin Acres is for sale--on the way to Joplin, in Dusquesne, is this unique property. In the 1950's, identical twin girls married identical twin boys. They bought this land and built identical brick houses facing each other. They shared a 2 car garage in between. The ladies bought identical furnishings, decorating the same, down to every detail. They each had 1 child, a girl and a boy who looked a lot alike. It must have been an interesting way to grow up! Their descendants have put the place up for sale. There are a million questions I'd love to ask about this family!
