calling any one from missouri

That’s probably what is in mine then because the rims are pretty rough ...

If you were in Cuba you were in my neck of the woods!
Have you been to the Mark Twain Forest? We are thinking of stopping there on our vacation route a couple weeks from now.
I don't know much about it though .. Or what sites to try and see once we get there

What road are you traveling on? There's lots to see off of 60 and 67... Mmmm a butterscotch ice cream cone at the Dairy Shack in Eminence on the way to Alley Springs to see the grist mill.

Well the MT forest is something like 1.5 million acres and is several different large blocks in different areas of the state, so as JT mentioned it kinda depends what route you’re traveling as to what there is to do and see...

Mostly though it is just large tracts of timber with a lot hiking and camping opportunities...

But if you give some idea of the route I bet we can recommend some things to see.

My potted tomato plants on the deck look real bad from poor drainage in the pots and all the rain we've had. I worked them over yesterday and added more holes in the bottom and put a layer of gravel under the pots to make sure they drain well then filled them up to the top with some good potting soil. To my amazement the worst looking roma's had 4 tomatoes!

I've lost count on the Arkansas Travelers in the raised bed, it's so thick you can't see all the way through. I think I over planted again...

I took a count and as best I can see there are 34 tomatoes on the Arkansas Travelers... dunno what I did right this time but it's finally nice to get some tomatoes.

The Arkansas Travelers and cucumbers are climbing up the cattle panel.

We even have 2 small cucumbers!

This is the whole shebang with German Lunchbox tomatoes and sweet peppers in the middle one and Cherokee Purple and squash that is just now starting to perk up after being transplanted twice in a row in the right one.

So far I'm liking that design, I just need a easier way to keep critters out than the plastic fence wrapped around it.

looks like 60 is the route Google map would have us take to get to our final destination. We are going to Tennessee, Chattanooga area. It's almost 10hours from where I am. But we were planning on leaving a day or two early so we can just relax and stop wherever the mood strikes .. And stay the night somewhere along the way.

Ya that's kind of what I had gathered. That's why I was wondering if there was something worth while to see without going way too far off track. :)

On 60 just past Winona is a really cool museum with and outdoor exhibit that includes a steam powered reciprocating saw used to make railroad ties as well as other old things.

If you go north on 19 out of Winona to Eminence then turn west on 106 a few miles down is Alley Spring and Mill which is a cool place to visit. Don't forget to stop at the Dairy Shack in Eminence for an ice cream or a deep fried hotdog.

Johnson's Shut In's State park is a bit further from your path but not to far from there is also Elephant Rocks State Park. There are a couple of b&b's in Ironton and Thee Abbey which was a Catholic Girls finishing school and now is a restaurant as well as other things. South of those is Sam A. Baker State park where you can rent a cabin and eat at the Mudlick Mountain Grill over looking the river and this time of year there should be a whole heard of hummingbirds outside the windows of the restaurant. Sam A. Baker is close to 67 which takes you back down to 60.

Oh I forgot Rocky Falls Shut Ins which is near Winona on NN off of H it's a great place to have a picnic lunch near the water fall.

In Fredericktown is the best restaurant in the area called The Depot and it's actually in the old Fredericktown train depot.

In Caledonia is the Old Village Mercantile Store and that is a neat place to see.

Of course the big attraction in this area is JT's automagic chicken house inside of Chicken Fort Knox.
