calling any one from missouri

When my DH and I first converted this old shed into a coop in 2015 (okay, he did almost everything), it was completely out in the open.

The next summer I put shade cloth on the south side to help with summer heat...

Since then, volunteer elm seedlings from those big trees behind it have sprouted, taken root, and now completely surround the coop and much of the run. It's very shady now, and comfortable even on a day like today. Yes, it's the same coop in there, behind the trees.

Wow, I guess I didn’t know elms grew quite that fast...

Now I see how you’re getting all those pretty chicken pics... that’s a nice setup!

Yeah I think all those Mimosas you see in fence lines were due to one someone else planted somewhere else, lol

I love the Bradford and Cleveland pear trees too. . but they are apparently crossing with some type of wild pear trees that have thorns and are becoming invasive. :(
