Tonight this little wee froglet caught our attention on one of our house plants that spends the summer on the porch...

It’s always a bit interesting to see who hitches a ride back into the house when we bring the plants back in...

I guess that’s coming up in the next several weeks...

Which makes me think that I heard a whippoorwill earlier tonight... that seems late in the year to me? ...

But it seems like just last week I was commenting on here about hearing the first one, so I thought it appropriate to comment on the last one, hopefully I hear him a bit longer still though ...

In any case it’s been a pleasure sharing the summer with the rest of you MO-Folks... I’ve enjoyed all the conversation about frogs, snakes, birds, ‘dillers, fried hot dogs, local sights to see, local bird swaps, local fairs, shows, festivals, and all else!

I’m actually kinda looking forward to seeing what there is to share this fall and winter

The weather here is looking pretty good later in the week with 60's to 80's I hope it sticks for a while... need to get the new shed to coop conversion finished and get some chicks.

We just got 1" of rain in 30 minutes while I was trapped under the lean to trying to wire up some lights and outlets watching the rivers of water form and no camera to record it. It's amazing how dark it gets under the lean to...

We had a thunderstorm quickly pass thru this afternoon. More coming tonight. They keep saying severe possibility. I've stopped keeping track of inches. I have no idea anymore.

It was a downpour I'll tell ya! I opened the door to leave work and it was like a waterfall blowing in.

We had so much rain yesterday morning ( and the flash flooding that comes with it) that 2 school districts cancelled school!! 1 of the districts almost NEVER cancels school, so it was kind of a big deal!
