@OhZark Biddies
Why you like-n and not talkin?
Too cold? Fingers frozen? Too busy carving out diller baskets?
Or are you out there chipping ice trying to dig up that mason jar under the chicken coop to adjust your list since its leap year. 😂

I’ve been busy... doing nothing 😉

Actually I’ve been doing experiments that I read about this summer here on BYC ... I put a roadkill raccoon in the yard trying to draw maggots to feed my chickens, but so far nothing 😐... maybe I’m doing it wrong?

Looking forward to seeing JTs finished coop though! Wish I was that handy!

... I feel like Sue’s being a little stingy with the the appenzeller pics this winter 😉

On the weather front, karenerwin‘s weather is pretty much ditto for me ... I get it a tad bit earlier but not much... fun to see her updates and compare

At least we don’t have Gray Farms’ weather! We have family up there so we get updates on the northern MO weather, and I always think of Grays Farms! Hang in there Grays ... you’ve got it made compared to our family in Michigan! 😉

It's great to hear from you, @OhZark Biddies!
re the Spitzhaubens, I'm not taking very many pics, the flock has been confined ever since the hawk attack, and photo ops are very limited in a run. . The chickens don't even ask to go out. Life is subdued for them.
Beatrix.jpg This face says it all....

The snowman is shrinking, life expectancy very short here!

We have been wanting to move to Oregon, and our daughters are meeting w realtor re properties for sale. So far, DH isn't ready to go look at any of them. It's kind of overwhelming to think of packing everything up and moving 2,000 miles. I probably would not bring chickens, and have to start anew. Daughter out there is getting Sapphire Blue Plymouth Rocks next month, a designer blend, and I may go out and help her build a coop......

Looking forward to seeing JTs finished coop though! Wish I was that handy!

I did manage to get the door in the dividing wall Thursday, was busy machining parts and making scrap yesterday in the machine shop. I'll get a photo of the door when I'm done, still need to put the stop molding in for the door and the latch.

Howdy fellow Missourians !

I took some pics of the breathtakingly beautiful snowfall from my deck early Friday mornin. The photos do not do it justice, but they certainly speak for themselves.

The dogs had a blast rompin around in the snow. The chickens, not so much. I had to lure them out of the coop with a handful of crack !
