We’re screening in a porch, and got the windows up this weekend, but no door and under the windows isn’t trimmed out yet, so it’s partially open still.... this morning, we’d trapped a half dozen mosquitos in there.

I live in South Central Missouri.
We raise guineas to sell and eat. Turkeys as pets and eating. Chickens mostly for the eggs and feeding the neighbor's cat occasionally.
We have a good sized garden and a greenhouse. The birds help with the poor Missouri soil. They eat the leftover veggies and keep the cycle going.
I have a huge guinea coop, a turkey coop and a smaller chicken coop. Each coop has a motion detector with lights at night, solar charged. I run a solar powered electric fence around the chicken run. This seems to keep the wildlife away at night. The only predators that we have had was the neighbor's 2 dogs and another neighbor's cat. We caught him leaving after killing 2 my best hen and rooster. The 2 Isa Browns that were left are a bit on the crazy side now.

We have 3 almost adult guineas that were raised by our broody hens. They still hang out with the chickens all day. If they fly out, they keep walking around the fence.

Dogs are the worst predator they just keep killing till all are dead...

I’m guessing those are crocus?

have they been there long? I’ve thought about planting some but have head squirrels and chipmunks dig them up a lot... maybe I should give them a try and see.
