It’s coming down pretty good... We took the gutters down this winter to add on a garage... fortunately that ground slopes away on that side of the house

I have a couple of nests under the lean to, not sure what kind they are as they are 2FF2R. Got the raised beds covered up with their hard hats on ready for tonight hope it not a gully washer.

I think the coop is about ready for the new chicks to arrive... the wait is just killing me good thing I have so much to get done I don't have time to think about it.

@karenerwin how did it go at Cackle today?

It went very well. They are only letting 1 person in the store at a time. I had to wait outside until the lady before me left. My hubby had to wait in the car. They had everything ready to go! They also had some green hatching eggs available ($3.00 each) and some ducks,and some bantams as well as a "surprise box" for $79.99.
I just got what I had ordered (plus 2 extra that they had added) and was on my way very quickly! There was a lady waiting outside for me to leave so that she could go in.

We are getting a torrential downpour now! It started right when it got dark outside.
I hope my garden and my potato buckets don't wash away!!

I thought I had a picture of the box full of chicks on my phone but I guess it didn’t save to my phone. I’ll take a picture tomorrow ( when it’s not raining outside!) of the brooder full!

Found this critter under a rock ....

apparently it’s called a ‘marbled’ salamander... according to the internet they are somewhat common to Missouri

I don’t know that I’d seen a marbled one before, I usually find the spotted ones... this one was from a few weeks ago...

He looks like he's been getting fat under that rock!
What do salamanders eat?
Worms and bugs I assume.

Wow I got a tracking number on the chicks at 5:40 AM this morning. Man those folks start work early. At least I know my box is in the packing room now
