Our first hummingbird showed up on April 8th this year... just a lone male ... then we had a couple more males trickle in.... but then yesterday a bus full of hummingbirds showed up, lol
We probably had 15 or so today... they seemed to have arrived with the orioles and some other migrants...
Yesterday I saw the first brown thrasher of the year, and today I saw a blue grosbeak and a few yellow rumped warblers in the yard... some years I see rose breasted grosbeaks on their way north too...
it varies from year to year, but it seems like as the trees leaf out some interesting birds come through
still haven't seen a hummer or orange burd.
But the purple martin houses are full. View attachment 2115293View attachment 2115294View attachment 2115295
Yes, I'll be the first one in line tomorrow morning!

don’t forget to pick up some stamps too .... and keep your distance from the second person in line, lol![]()
NOPE!Today we took a trip to the nearby landfill to get rid of loads of junk, trash, etc. I love getting rid of stuff and clearing out areas. I need the basement for brooding chicks next week, and it was full of trash.
While clearing out down there, I noticed we were being watched....

I took a pic to look up ID.
At the dump, even tho our truck was jammed full, there was so little weight, they didn't charge us! It made my day!
They won't get close to me I'll have a mask on and a pistol hanging from my belt!
