I accidentally caught a skunk in a cage trap last night... so I have to deal with that this morning 😯

but today I’m planning to set up a broody hen to hatch some eggs ...

Also here is a ‘pipe vine swallow tail’ flutter-fly on a daffodil... I bought a bag of clearance bulbs at Christmas time and didn’t get them in the ground till February-ish, so they came up late...

I dropped the lettuce seeds in the garden. Should I thin them down now or wait a week? I have never successfully grown anything. My kids are lucky to be adults. Lol

ha! let them grow to a couple inches and trim w scissors, eat the baby lettuce. They'll regrow, and you can trim again.

I have wanted to convert a hummingbird feeder into a hanging chick waterer. Recruited DH to drill out every other hole. It works. I had one of the hens try it out, and she approved.
I do have nipple bottles for the chicks, but this is another option now. A waterer they can't step in. We'll see how it works with actual chicks next week.

I found this in the basement... after I’d picked up that box and moved it!

I might have come unglued if it had crawled on me 🥴

I have secured in a coffee can at the moment, you can come get it for your collection if you want 😉
