calling any one from missouri

what the heck?

I never heard of a hammer headed flat worm?!

Who brought them to Greene county? Did they escape from the Springfield zoo?

I think I woulda went a Pouges song 😉
They belong in the tropics but they have hitched a ride over here in potted plants and cause some genius took some to England to study them or something or other.
Oh And...That song is seriously creepy.
oh and yes you are allowed to hate hammer headed worms!

and black ‘widders’

this one made a nest in this little ... milk jug ? ... I’m still not sure what this container was for...but it’s just for setting your ice tea on while porch sitting now...

Any way the ‘widder spider had a ball full of eggs in the spout pocket :sick

Ewww!
I hates it I hates it! Just think if it would've crawled up on your ice tea glass. *shudder*
Well..nightmares for me tonight. Worms and widders. That'll do it.
Every time I forage for strawberries I think in the back of my mind I hope there's not a copper head in there... look what I found instead.

Black widders and brown recluse spiders is why I don't kill rabid wolf spiders. They're big n ugly and scary if you don't like spiders ... but beautiful allies that kill the bad ones. My kids are not allowed to molest them and I have not seen the bad guys in years.

We have them all, the good, the bad, and the ugly...

if the good and the ugly are killing the bad... they need to step it up, they seem to be letting a lot get by😉...

Uh, I don’t want to alarm you but the ‘big dang jumping grass spider’... in your pictures is actually a hound dog 🙄
:eek::eek:

I am alarmed! 😂

I ain't gonna go out hunting them down or nothing but
I've got so many wolf spiders... The ones that get in my way are getting smashed.

You think voles and moles get the bulbs? I thought conservation magazine said they ate grubs and worms.. Not bulbs.
I figure this year bulbs probably just rotted out.
Or the orange ones choked them out.

😡

Two of our orange mini double asiatics are down... with incriminating vole holes next to them 🤨... I just said all the swear words I know... and it didn’t help a thing 🙄

Eleanor the cat has been posted up very near the crime scene the last few evenings, but those kittens have her frazzled and so she’s not on her A-game...

Btw... just to clarify... I think you’re right about moles... they are pretty much carnivores and not interested in bulbs... but sometimes they tear up plants in their effort to gather grubs and worms...

But the voles are known bulb assassins... and are an approved to hate species 😉
