Finally got my wheat to sprout like I want it without growing mold or making magic gnats appear out of thin air. The container on the left is some wheat feed I got last year at my local feed store. It doesn't sprout as well as the other wheat.


I'm using this wheat I found online.

I am trying to sprout grain for the first time.......... Doing alfalfa And wheat plus a little bit of sunflowers. seeds are kind of old though, hope it works.

I am trying to sprout grain for the first time

Soak for 8 - 12 hours then drain. Once a day add enough water to cover the seeds then drain. For the first few days cover the seeds until the sprouts reach the top of your container.

I'm trying to determine the correct amount of bleach to add to the water to stop mold from forming. Started adding 1 drop to my cup of water this morning so it's an on going spearament.

I used to work in a cafe that offered wheatgrass juice, sold in shot glasses. You cranked it by hand, stuffing the grass in the hopper. It's really good for you, but it made me gag.
