I did see a few of these earlier this month and was curious about them, but we didn’t have a lot of them…

I found some information on “leaf rollers” or “leaf tier” caterpillars, but didn’t ID the exact ones we had.

They aren't looking to see how old the thread is. They are clicking on the "Similar Theads" on a thread they are already replying to, I bet.....

Violetta, the hen that raised the solo chick, is broody again. I just put her in broody jail in the basement.

Meanwhile, that solo chick, now 2 months, looks like a cockerel...

Yeah... There is a lot of that happening with the simar thread thang these days.
And plus it looked like that was a pretty new member. Sometimes I think new people just post to be posting they're still getting the hang of things.

I already got a reply from MDC !!! Apparently they are the same bagworms that you find on junipers, but on deciduous trees, they wrap themselves in those leaves....

I melted the siding on the back of the Poplar Bluff house.
I was hosing the siding down and the fire but I guess the wind shifted or it was just too darn hot and combined with the fire it was too much. Now we are trying to source the siding. It came with the house so we have no idea where it was bought.
